A camera is part of my attire, ready to capture a moment in time and preserve it as a memory. Many times, the photo opportunities have been more abundant along the way than found at the destination itself.

My career has been in photography and 18 years of photofinishing management in a professional environment, not a drugstore or supercenter. I’ve seen many changes through the years in the photo industry and experienced firsthand the transition from film to digital. I enjoy the creativity that digital photography has to offer.

Many good professional film photographers had difficulties switching to digital because they had to learn how to “fix” their images on the computer before having them printed. I was able to show many of them key points in the transition. To them, it was like learning photography all over again. They did not understand that digital photography had many color and density correction issues compared to the film format they were accustomed to using.
